Well, Somebody likes the Job President Obama is Doing

While the love affair is over for me and President Obama there are many who feel differently. Many, Many:

Sixty-seven percent say world leaders respect Mr. Obama, while 18 percent say they do not respect the president. That’s a sharp contrast to the response when this question was asked about Mr. Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, in July 2006: Just 30 percent then said the president is respected by the leaders of other countries.

Mr. Obama’s overall approval rating, meanwhile, has hit a new high of 66 percent, up from 64 percent last month. His disapproval rating stands at 24 percent. Nearly all Democrats and most independents approve of the way the president is handling his job, while only 31 percent of Republicans approve.

While I’m not surprised by this, it just further proves my point that American’s are dumb as nails. While the man is smarter, more likable and on some level care more about the working man than President Bush, he still is a corporate shill making sure his corporate masters don’t suffer to harshly in this recession that they created. I get that he’s photogenic  and has a very photogenic family, but what I would like to see is some balls when it comes to dealing with the economy.

Mr. “I’m from a family who used be on public assistance” needs to understand that the decisions he’s making  regarding the economy are making the lives of all those working class and poor people he’s so familiar with worse..much worse. I’m happy for the President’s high approval ratings and all, but I’d rather some action. Real action. And results for the little guy or Main Street as the pols like to say.
